Gallery - Pippa Annette and Lynton Brander (a Surrey Wedding)

The first thing that struck me upon arriving at Pippa and Lynton's wedding in Godalming (apart form the obvious "isn't Godalming nice" thing), were the ribbons. Down the drive on both sides were miles (quite literally) of red and white ribbons, bows and balloons to guide visitors down towards the car park. Pippa's mother had been out at the crack of dawn sledge-hammering stakes in to tie the ribbon onto and it was apparent that a great deal of effort had gone into this event. The red and white theme was continued through everything from the flowers to the bridesmaids dress.

A freelance bishop took an impressive ceremony in the marquee, an unusual event in the UK where marriages have to take place within a permanent building (fear not - Pippa and Lynton had tied the knot for the purposes of HM Government at the local registry office the day before).

After an hour or two of socializing a barbeque became the reception meal and as the sun set across the fields everyone reflected on what a splendid day it had been. Dancing went on late into the night ...
